....The home of the Eltham Otters here on the world wide web...

Our club has been established since late 1978 when several members of a local Diving club got together to form a branch of the National Snorkellers Club. Over the years much has changed but the ethos of the club remains- to give an opportunity to youngsters to learn and experience the excitement that is the sport of Snorkel Diving.

Update on the Friday Club situation

Thursday 18th March 2010

Eltham Centre incident

Following a fire at the Eltham Centre on Saturday 13th February the building has sustained damage to its electrical systems. The fire damage was mainly to the leisure side of the building affecting the ground and level 1 areas.

Temporary arrangements for Friday pool sessions

An agreement with Greenwich Leisure Limited (GLL) has been reached and we shall now be using the waterfront leisure centre until we can go back into the Eltham Centre.  Whilst this is good news we have to accept that we will only have two lanes and not the four we have normally.

This move will allow those members who can not attend the Sunday sessions at shooters hill to still be active within our club.

Club members are asked to meet by the lockers at the waterfront at 6:15pm and we shall go through as a group. Our pool time remains as 6:30pm to 7:30pm.

I also encourage members who have access to facebook to keep an eye on the club page there as I can update it faster than the club website.
